Mexico Holidays: What All Make It A Different Experience

That it is the most populous Spanish-speaking country in the world, even more than Spain itself, is not the only peculiar fact about Mexico that make it stand out of the rest of the countries of the world. There are lot more facts, somehow strange yet highly pleasing that makes Mexico holidays an experience never to be deleted from the memory and send it the world of oblivion. Take a tour to the country and you will have no reason to disagree with this claim.

Mexico is a country where historical ruins of thousand years old stand side by side the modern five star hotels. Neither modernity denuded the historical remnants of their attractions nor is the look of modern structures hampered by the presence of the ancient wreck. Hence, Mexico holidays means taking a tour down to the old glorious time of the Maya civilization and at the same time enjoying all the facilities that sophisticated modern lifestyle offers.

Mexico HolidaysAmong a plethora of attractions in Mexico, the ruins of ancient civilization, particularly that of Maya, remains the strongest. Ednza archeological site, Campeche; monarch butterflies in Michoacan; Snorkelling in Xel-Ha, Quintena Roo, are the ultimate choice in the filed of ancient historical ruins, Mexicos natural wonder and adventure tourism in the country respectively. Besides this, there is the famous cuisine and festivities of the country.

Geographically Mexico is the 14th largest country in the world and on the population front it stands 11th on the list. With a history of more than a few thousand years and a vast geographical land, the country offers the best a holiday destination can offer. During Mexico holidays, you can enjoy a lot of things like roaming around the Mexico City, basking in the beaches, taking a tour down to the ancient sites, buy ceramic pots with beautiful Mexican painting on them, or join in some adventure sport.

Mexico Holidays: The Cuisines Are Irresistible

Mexico Holidays

Probably because it has more than enough scope for adventure sports that Mexico draws a huge number of college students from the United States. Every year, during the week preceding the Easter and during the spring break, students in multitude rush to the beaches of the country. Mexico holidays take a new colour at this time. Yet, Mexico can be visited any time in the year. Scope for fun and festivity is always there.

Though I like the spots famous for their historical values as they provide fun and information both, the scope for adventure sports that Mexico holidays offer seems to be irresistible. Trekking, mountaineering, scuba diving, surfing and all such exciting sports can be enjoyed while in Mexico.

I also like the Mexican food, all yummy yummy. The Mexicans foods reflect the mixed heritage of the intermarriage of Spaniards and Native Americans. Most of the cuisine based on corn though the effect of Spanish food is quite evident. Wheat bread and livestock are the result of Spanish influence. However, during Mexico holidays I have found the “fusion’ cuisine contributed by the ethnic groups more interesting.

Mexico Holidays: The Festivities Are Additional Attraction

During my Mexico Holidays, I could come to some very good facts about the country. It is the seventh most popular tourist destinations in the world and the only Latin American country to be included in the list. It is also a fact that tourism is the third largest revenue generating sector of the country.

Chichen Itza, a large pre-Columbian archaeological site built during the Maya civilization is situated in Mexico; this site is regarded as one of the seventh wonders of the modern world by some people. All these facts certainly say a lot about the high potentiality of the country as a hot holiday destination. However, what I liked about Mexico Holidays besides all these are the large number of festival, fair and feast days of county.

Having a calendar packed with holidays, national, religious, people’s santos, and a lot more type of vacations celebrated with gusto, the country is always in a festive mood. So, when I was in Mexico, very often I used to get up at the sound of drums and other musical instruments or see the offices closed and the roads are just because some celebration is going on. Mexico holidays become really enjoyable because of all these fun and festivities.
